How do you join Wheal Velocity Bike Club?
Wheal Velocity is primarily a youth focused club but we also have adult members.
The club runs on Thursday nights during the summer for the Race Team and Development Squad 18:30 - 21:00, and on a Saturday afternoons 13:00 - 15:00 for the Youth Academy. During the winter we offer indoor training on a Thursday night for all, please see the winter training page for booking information.
If you want to give it a try you can in 3 easy steps.
Step 1,
Send us a email or turn up with your bike and helmet on Saturday afternoon. See our "Calendar" page and "Youth Academy" page for more info.
Step 2,
Enjoy two free sessions to see if it something you would like to do more of and if the club suits you.
Step 3,
Join the club by following the link below to the British Cycling website and clicking on the "Join Our Club" tab. Its only £12!!! (plus £1 fee)

Yep, you guessed it...when your ready click on the "Join Our Club" tab.
(FYI, British Cycling are the governing body, there are other governing bodies but the main one is BC. Being an affiliated club brings us a host of advantages like... training, safeguarding, event planning but probable most importantly... insurance.)
FAQ,
Q:"Do I need to be a member of BC as well?"
A: No, you can just join our club. However BC membership does have its advantages. So worth a look if you get really into your biking.
Step 3. (Last one)
Now just select the option you would like and click "Buy Membership" this will take you to the payment screens.
Fill in the details for the person who is becoming a member and done.
Once you have paid you will receive a confirmation email and so will we. You will be added to our club recorders which are held by BC.
When your membership is due for renewal we will send out reminder emails to the email address you provided. To renew its just the same process again.

Come through the main gate, driving slowly and look out for kids on bikes, follow the road down and across the weighbridge.
