If you are 12 years and older and are committed to training and racing at regional and/or national level than the Wheal Velocity race team would love to support your journey. This could be road, off-road or both!

Race team members would be selected from academy or development squad members. This selection process would be at the desecration of the coaching staff. 

At Wheal Velocity we never put any sort of pressure on our young riders. However there does need to be a level of self motivation from our race team members and a willingness from families to support the club. This support from families would be to help with hosting races at Wheal Jane and supporting young rides on trips away. Don't worry, you don't need to know about bikes or bike racing to be an adult helper. 

As a club we will provide reduced cost team kit and subsidized transport to events. We will also help families navigate the paperwork side of signing up for racing at a higher level. 

On top of this the young riders will have regular access to winter and summer training, support at events and coaching from a highly experienced coaching staff.  To stress this is experience in coaching but also as top level cyclists at regional, national and international level.
